In the 20 years prior to joining Lake Shore Pediatrics, Mrs. Pignataro
applied her pediatric expertise in a wide variety of settings. She served
in the United States Air Force as a pediatric nurse practitioner both
stateside and overseas, spending 4 years on active duty, and 8 years in
the reserves. She ultimately achieved the rank of Major.
In the civilian world she worked for two
private practices in Maryland. She has also been a faculty member at Northern
Michigan University and the University of Maryland, teaching both undergraduate
baccalaureate nursing students and masters candidate nurse practitioner
students. Mrs. Pignataro has also been a special projects consultant at
Children's Hospital in Washington, D.C.
