H1N1 vaccine for 4 year-olds and up

An extremely limited supply of H1N1 vaccine has been received and is available for high-risk children ages 4 and up only.  If your son or daughter fits into the medically high-risk category and you haven’t already been contacted by us, then please call and schedule an appointment for this vaccine.  We will begin accepting appointments for these shots at 10:00 am Tuesday, November 24.

As our supplies are so low (less than 30 doses per office) we are keeping a list of our highest risk patients.  Please have your son or daughter added to this list if they haven’t received their H1N1 vaccine yet and we will contact you as soon as additional vaccine is received.

The high-risk criteria are listed on the “what’s new” page of our website.

H1N1 Vaccine Now Available for all 6-35 Month Olds

Due to your patience and consideration, we have completed immunizing our highest risk infants and toddlers.  Starting Wednesday November 18,  Lake Shore Pediatrics invites you to  call and schedule your 6-35 month old child for his/her H1N1 vaccination.  Supplies are still limited, and will be given out on a first come, first serve basis.   Hopefully we will be receiving additional vaccine in the near future.

Limited H1N1 Vaccine available

On Friday, November 13th, Lake Shore Pediatrics received a very limited supply of the H1N1 vaccine.  However, the Lake County Health Department has only provided us with the vaccine dosed specifically for infants and toddlers, ages 6-35 months. We only have a few doses per office, and our initial doses must first be allocated to those “high-risk” children who present the highest risk of complication from H1N1 infection.

We will begin accepting appointments for these shots starting Monday November 16th, at 1pm. Your child’s chart will be reviewed to ensure that your child qualifies for these initial vaccine doses.  Hopefully we will soon be able to expand these vaccinations to all our patients, but we have no control over vaccine supply or arrival dates.
