Prior to joining Lake Shore Pediatrics, Mrs. Pignataro applied her pediatric expertise in a wide variety of settings. She served in the United States Air Force as a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner both stateside and overseas, spending 4 years on active duty, and 8 years in the reserves, ultimately achieving the rank of Major. In the civilian world she has worn many hats: working for two private practices in Maryland, being a faculty member at two different universities, and working as a special projects consultant at Children’s Hospital in Washington, D.C.
Alongside her pilot husband, Ms. Pignataro raised two soccer-playing sons and many cats at her home in Algonquin. Her interests include music and dance, books, and travel. She loves to shop for clothes and despises vacuuming.
