Prior to joining Lake Shore Pediatrics she served as a Pediatric Hospitalist in the Chicagoland area. Dr. Michaels is the Illinois Chapter Representative for EDHI (Early Detection Hearing Intervention), which helps ensure that proper follow-up for neonatal hearing screens are completed successfully.

On a personal note, Dr. Michaels loves to cook. To help keep down the calorie count she enjoys running and takes part in marathons all over the country. She and her husband Tony recently welcomed their first child!
