Barrington office to reopen Thursday, May 20th

We have recently been informed that our Barrington office will reopen tomorrow morning, May 20th.  Our phones will be turned on at 8:30am for appointment scheduling and/or health advice as we  resume our normally scheduled hours of operation.

Thanks again for your patience.

Barrington office may be closed for a week or more

We were just notified by our building’s management company that the entire office complex housing our Barrington office may not reopen until Friday, May 21st (at the earliest) .  Apparently other offices were flooded and suffered damage during the storms, and every office space needs to be decontaminated before a single patient is allowed in the building.  Again, we apologize but please realize that this is not under our control.  Patients can be seen at our Libertyville office for the time being, and you may call for health advice by phoning Libertyville at 847-362-5707.

Status updates will be posted to this blog as soon as we receive them.

Barrington office closed due to flooding

This morning (Thurs, May 13th) the Barrington area fire department closed the office building next to Good Shepherd Hospital for safety concerns due to flooding.  Our phone lines are being monitored by our answering service, and patients can been seen at either our Libertyville or Lake Forest offices for the time being.  Please call our Libertyville office at 847-362-5707 if you have questions concerning the health of your child.

We will post an update as to when the Barrington office will reopen as soon as we have that information available.

Liquid Tylenol and Motrin recall

McNeil Consumer Healthcare has issued a voluntary recall of ALL of it’s liquid Tylenol and Motrin products.  This includes Infant Concentrated Drops and Children’s Liquids.  Also included is Zyrtec sugar-free and dye- free syrup and liquid, and Benadryl sugar-free/dye-free liquid.  This recall is for products that “may not meet quality standards” and has not been associated with any adverse events.

Lake Shore Pediatrics has removed all of these products from our stock.
